How PVC Liners Are Made
The installation process of PVC liners vs. CIPP liners is different due to how we make our fold-and-form liners. Both types of liners are extruded the same way, but fold-and-form liners are folded into a C- or H- shape while they’re warm. We wrap the folded liner onto a coil and deliver it straight to your location. You install the liner directly from the coil.
How the Installation is Done
Once you’ve prepared the job site to receive the PVC fold-and-form liner, the installation process is simple. Attach the liner to your puller, and use steam to warm the liner. The softened liner is ready to be winched through the existing pipe. Once the liner reaches the end of the pipe, you apply the second round of steam at high pressure. This inflates the liner and allows it to bond with the pipe. It adheres to any imperfections in the host pipe, creating a seamless interior. Finally, you blast the liner with cold air, which hardens it and prepares it for use.
